Mary Anne, better known as author George Elliot, had X as a guest in her Sunday salons, while her husband went about his business with Darwin. X once had a debate with a guy called Herbert Spencer, who came up with the concept of “Survival of the fittest”. The debate was on “woman's capacity for abstract thought”. She would later prove her point with her superb work.
X was quite extraordinary for her times, and was noted for her beauty. When her friend was barred from Y's lab, because he did not let women inside, she made a case for her to him. Later Y wrote to X's professor Z that X was a “Dangerous Woman”, as she had made even him fall for her charms.
Z was a school teacher, who became famous for his works, some of which were published in the beginning in school journals. Recognition came in his late 40's but nevertheless he had a good life, and was a celebrity in his times. Mathematics students would find guessing his name easy.
Z had many notable doctoral students, most notably Cantor and Frobenius.
Id X, Y and Z.
